Italian National Quality System for Integrated Production - Sustainability certification

A little bee is buzzing over our vineyards! We have been awarded certification under the SQNPI, the Italian National Quality System for Integrated Production. This is a sustainability certificate recognised by the Ministry for agricultural products obtained using integrated production techniques.

Introduced by the Ministry of Agricultural Food and Forestry Policies in 2014 and officially operational since January 2016, the Italian National Quality System for Integrated Production (SQNPI) covers agricultural and agri-food products and applies to all companies in Italy that use integrated agricultural production techniques, either individually or in association.

Ours is a choice increasingly aimed at quality and cultivation processes that respect the environment and the health and safety of those who drink our wines and those who work in our company. 

SQNPI certification also guarantees particular attention on maintaining the traceability chain: traceability and sustainability must be guaranteed for all raw materials.

Walking through our vineyards you will find signs with the bee symbol certifying Cascina Castlèt's good working practices.

Our certifying body is DNV (Det Norske Veritas), recognised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
